this is for real

You don't take a donkey to the Kentucky Derby.

Why not? Well it's simple. You can't win the race with a donkey.

Right now the Hoyas aren't playing like a team that can win the Big East or NCAA Tournaments. They were showing nicely about a month or so ago but that's all finished.

There's still time. And it starts tonight. It's February. It's go time.

Look I can handle them missing out on the NCAA's. I survived the Craig Esherick Era. I can survive anything.

It's not about that. This team has the components and the coach to make a run at the Final Four. Sounds kind of funny to say that right now but it's true. I can handle bad teams that try their best. This isn't what we have going on. It's different.

I will never say that there is such a thing as a good loss, but at least during the loss at Marquette, the offense looked familiar.

My hope for tonight is that the defense looks familiar without having to sacrifice anything else. Oh and for Jessie to score some damn points.

Bobby: So last night Coach Knight was doing color for the Tennessee - Oklahoma women's game and I really wanted to watch some of it for the words of wisdom that were destined to come out of his mouth. Well I got sidetracked watching Friday the 13th: A new Beginning and Friday the 13 class: Jason Lives. Well I put the game on ESPN360.com at work just so I could hear the General.

Best line - That's like putting your finger in a dike. Yeah that's right. He said dike during a women's hoops game. Classic.
