This is as real as it gets.
They need to run the table. Four and oh. I believe in miracles. I just don't count on them.
There are three things that this year's version of the Georgetown Hoyas has failed to do at critical moments.
1. They fail to score.
2. They fail to defend.
3. They fail to get rebounds.
When they do (1) they can't do (2). When they do (3) they can't do (1). And so on and so on.
With four games left before the annual trip up to MSG, I just don't see any evidence as to why they could put it all together. We are 24 games into the season. This is who they are. It's not realistic to expect them to just wake up from this nightmare and start moving in the right direction. Jokes on me if I think everything is going to be ok.
But here's what I want.
I want tonight to be a flashback for the two time defending champs. I want to forget about the last 6 weeks of underachieving basketball. Let's turn back the clocks and, if just for one night only, watch a team that went 2 years without losing at home continue that dominance at Verizon. I know they have that in them. C'mon John - put Jessie back in the lineup. I'm sure they can do it. Don't think about four and oh. Think about one and oh and play relaxed. It's there if you want it.
Can't wait to watch it unfold
