ain't no shook hands in brooklyn

It's a brand new day around these parts.

Trends and stats just aren't holding up these days. Times are tough. Even our president has to go out and start calling out national radio show hosts. It ain't easy living right now my man.

Another tough loss that statistically defied the odds.

Including the most recent Marquette game, the Hoyas under JT are 27 - 7 (91%) when they score at least 68 points. They scored 82 and lost by 12.

It was the most points they have scored and lost under JT3.

They assisted on 23 of 32 (72%) made field goals. The most ever under JT3 in a losing effort.

They made 10 of 20 (50% duh) shots from behind the arc. The most ever under JT3 in a losing effort.

Do I need to go on???

With only one half of the conference season behind them, they have already lost as many conference games as the last two seasons, COMBINED.

They had been ranked for 38 straight AP Polls. That ended today.

You know how you can kinda see things coming sometimes?

Yeah I didn't see this coming. Not after the nice start at least. I expected the team to start out slowly and then get better. I think that's a very conservative guess when you are dealing with so many new and inexperienced parts to the puzzle.

Put it this way: If you told me that they would have gone up to Hartford and knocked around the Huskies on opening night in the Big East, I would have placed a large wager that they would have finished in the top 4.
