all the lights are about to go off

Well so much for the rah-rah-sis-boom-bah. Where do we now stand? Well it's like this: The season is on life support and the plug is about to be pulled from a room in Philadelphia this Saturday.

That being said, the Big East season must go on. Not to cry everybody a river but that's one of the worst things about a poor season. I love to watch the conferences as a whole but during every other game they will inevitably talk about how disappointing the Hoyas have become.

Given the chance you will get gem comments like these:

"Boy what's going on in our nation's capital?"

"The Hoyas could sure use their own stimulus package right now."

"Tough times for Thompson as he tries to replace Hibbert, Wallace, etc."

Talk about rubbing salt in my wound. It's the worst.

Uconn v Marquette: I hate that Dominic James broke his foot and will miss the rest of the season. I really do. But if he HAD to fracture his foot, couldn't he have done it last Saturday as opposed to last night? Tough break eh? Thanks I'll be here all week

Calhoun:
I hate the guy. One of my least favorite head coaches in all of sports. That being said, I loved his response when asked about his salary the other day. I love how he saw it coming and just nailed the guy.

Pitt: I think Pitt is the best team in the country. Their problem? Blair tends to foul out every now and then. I don't want to over simplify this but when he does foul out, the Panthers lose. It's very likely that this will happen during the NCAA Tournament. This is fresh in my mind because it happened against Providence the other night. It will happen again. Oh well.

NBA Draft: The people on NBADraft.net have to be insane. They have DaJuan Summers going with the 20th pick to Utah. I really don't think he would last 20 seconds with Jerry Sloan. I'd love for DaJuan to be a successful NBA player. I honestly don't even think that after another year at Georgetown he will be ready for the NBA.

Duke: Thanks guys. I woke up this morning worried that Maryland had won that game. I don't think I could have taken that bad news. Here's my rule if I'm on the Selection Committee: every team that lost to Morgan State and didn't win their Conference Tournament is eliminated. Good luck.
