ND - Michigan wrap up

What happened in this game:

Each team scored 4 times. Michigan made a stop inside their redzone to make one of ND's scores a FG instead of a TD.

Both teams had over 500 yards of offense including ridiculously long TD's.

Michigan missed 2 FG's. One was very make-able. While ND didn't miss a FG, they did leave one on the field by going for it at the end of the first half inside the five.

Michigan forced three turnovers. ND didn't force any. Last year Michigan had a special teams TD that played a big part in the victory. Today it was turnovers. They made more plays. Again.

Robinson was the best player on the field. ND did a good job holding them to 7 points in the 2nd half.

ND played 3 different quarterbacks. They all threw interceptions.

Crist sitting all but one series in the first half was too much to overcome. The rest of the team simply wasn't able to offset that loss. No QB depth will be a problem all year.

Crist is playing well enough after 2 starts to get wins on a good team. The problem for him is that he is on an average team. Too many decision making mistakes including the last pass of the game. It can't be a touchdown or interference call if you throw it out of the endzone.

Next week will decide the season. ND has had trouble with Sparty for years now.

The time between college football seasons is an eternity. I hate that the team I follow has sucked for so long.
