Well I finally saw the Hoyas lose in Philadelphia. I had a pretty good away game winning streak going for me until the other day. I blame the HHC for not being able to get a bus trip going. I'm undefeated on bus trips. Anywhere. (Villanova, Villanova, Villanova, Seton Hall, West Virginia, Rutgers, Rutgers)
I'm starting to grow tired of these slow starts. You can't do that one the road against a top 5 opponent and expect to win.
Moral victories are for losers but I was impressed with their ability to fight back given the foul problems. The offensive/defensive substitutions pattern started really early. Julian had the first two Hoya fouls of the game. Not good.
Benimon got some good minutes. I still want to see more time on the court of Vee. I'm really not sure what is going on with Henry's minutes. He made a poor entry pass and that was it for him until real late in the game.
It was great to see Mark Tillmon sitting with the traveling fans up in 221a. I was also impressed with the student turnout on the other side of the arena.
Did I mention that all Hollis had to do was show up and they win the game? I told the guy next to me at halftime that if they could get 4 points from Thompson they win.
Pitt: Last year Pitt brought Georgetown's 29 game home winning streak to a screeching halt by beating their ass last January. I want nothing more out of tomorrow than for the Hoyas to return that favor.
Contain Gibbs and your life will be a lot easier.
Keep on taking those shots Hollis.
