I really wanted to see sister vs sister but Venus somehow blew a huge lead. That was a colossal collapse. I'm glad it didn't go 3 sets tonight because they have some doubles competition to take care of later today. I don't know why they would set it up that way. It seems as if it would discourage the better Singles players from entering into the Doubles portion of the Open.
Well you knew that Gallas and Vermaelen wouldn't be able to play every single minute of every single League game this season. Today was the day where that streak ended. The season completely fell apart last season after Gallas went out. You would think that having 3 competent CB's would have been a priority this season. You would think....
Well Donovan scored today. I know it's very popular to bash him for this or for that, but he's looked pretty good so far. He looks as though he belongs playing in a top league. Is that really a surprise? He easily looked like one of the better players at the Confederations Cup. It's ok not to like him but to pretend that isn't any good is straight sauce.
